David

Administrative Assistant

David Griffith recently moved to Aberdeen, but he is by no means a stranger, as he has strong familial ties to the area and to the clinic itself. His father, Gregory, was born and raised here, and David’s first (brief) job at APTW was at age 16, when he helped to install a ceiling in one of the treatment rooms. Thirteen years later, he came onboard to support the clinic and its staff by streamlining logistics, interfacing with university partners, insurance companies, and other medical practices, providing additional organization to both clinical and office staff, and boosting the visibility of the clinic and its services through outreach and networking.

After earning his bachelor’s degree at Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2017, David worked in education as a teacher of English, social studies, and mathematics, later serving as an administrator and instructional coach. He also directed theatrical productions, worked as a bookseller and inventory specialist at Moyer’s Book Barn in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, and provided administrative support to community and church organizations.

Outside of his professional career, David enjoys cooking, baking, interior decorating, and writing. He is frequently heard singing (mostly hymns and showtunes), so it is unsurprising that he sang in church choir for thirteen years, and sang tenor for a season with the Lancaster Chorale. He plays the piano and bagpipes. David is an avid reader of fiction and biographies, watcher of television, and accumulator of rings, scarves, and brooches. His other interests include theatre, liturgy, theology, politics, folklore, and family history.
